Munnikemeer United's Gerrit de Lange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Munnikemeer United from getting a goal against them. Auke Lyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Laskowski having to interfere. Daniël Aalst's late challenge caught a Hommert's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Daniël Aalst managed to get in a good position for a shot. Munnikemeer United's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniël Aalst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacco Gerseke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andy Bruin charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andy Bruin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th minute, Thijs Hebels sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hommert's Leonard Laskowski didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacco Gerseke in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerrit de Lange saved Munnikemeer United from getting behind. The supporters of Munnikemeer United booed when Hommert was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arie Fokkelman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerrit de Lange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacco Gerseke in the 66th minute of play. Munnikemeer United's Gerrit de Lange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonny Diggele in the 71st minute of play. Jacco Gerseke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit de Lange having to interfere.
