Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mitchell Sleiffer in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdi Roswinkel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Veentjer during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Tuitjehorn got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Veentjer. Ate Castelen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdi Roswinkel having to interfere. Elco Siebum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Roswinkel in the 15th minute of play. Ferdi Roswinkel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Steffens in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Geul S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Roswinkel came free, but Elco Siebum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Schuiling hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Geul S.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wesley Roswinkel 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 27 minutes Tuitjehorn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gertjan Oosterman who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Roland Steffens got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 28 minutes into the match. Tuitjehorn's Ferdi Roswinkel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Steffens in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Sipke Brinks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elco Siebum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Roswinkel in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tuitjehorn's goalkeeper Ferdi Roswinkel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roland Steffens was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ate Castelen got free with Ferdi Roswinkel in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Tuitjehorn's goalkeeper Ferdi Roswinkel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ate Castelen. Roland Steffens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ferdi Roswinkel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sipke Brinks's late challenge caught a Geul S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
