Harm Pierewaaijer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederik de Hondt in the 10th minute of the match. Harm Pierewaaijer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frederik de Hondt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. After 15 minutes, Ben Heerspink mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roermond and the Housden S.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Roermond's Izaak de Vlieger got a free kick in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arne van der Bij got free with Ruben van Steensel in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Oscar Koopmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harm Pierewaaijer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Koopmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Frederik de Hondt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Housden S.V.'s Arne van der Bij ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruben van Steensel. Ruben van Steensel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Oscar Koopmans kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Roermond booed when Housden S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Hohenstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Oscar Koopmans, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 97 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Harm Pierewaaijer was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. There was no doubt that Roermond were the better team. Roermond's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
