After 3 played minutes Lutkewierum got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Roelofsen. Yorrick Bleiswijk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gido Zeeman in the 6th minute. Yorrick Bleiswijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Ronde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Foxwolde's zone, Egbert van der Doelen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Zwarthoet came out of the goal and Egbert van der Doelen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Egbert van der Doelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gido Zeeman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Yorrick Bleiswijk made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Benjamin Ronde fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Yorrick Bleiswijk, passed just outside the right post. After 30 played minutes, Lutkewierum's Carlo van der Sar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mario Zwarthoet came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
