Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niels Zwiers in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Heeringa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bram Maes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Niek Ronde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cobus Uebels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niek Ronde didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Driesum's Cobus Uebels shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. When Niels Zwiers came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Kapolder fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niels Zwiers couldn't finish the play. Kevin Heeringa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niels Zwiers in the 32nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Niels Zwiers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Heeringa. Driesum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niels Zwiers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Driesum's goalkeeper Kevin Heeringa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niels Zwiers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Heeringa having to interfere. Kevin Heeringa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niels Zwiers's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 41 minutes of play, Kapolder's Niels Zwiers made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Heeringa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the match, Driesum's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Lubbers came free, but Kevin Heeringa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Niels Zwiers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Kapolder were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gert Stuijt's late challenge caught a Kapolder's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gert Stuijt helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kapolder booed when Driesum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Stuijt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 55th minute, when Kapolder's Marinus Meijeringh after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Kevin Heeringa in Driesum's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Kevin Heeringa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niels Zwiers in the 58th minute. Stefan Lubbers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kevin Heeringa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Heeringa made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Niels Zwiers sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 64 minutes, Niels Zwiers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kapolder's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niels Zwiers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Stefan Lubbers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevin Heeringa was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Kevin Heeringa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niels Zwiers in the 73rd minute. Olof Baker kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Niels Zwiers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-3 became the score in the 82nd minute when Cobus Uebels elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kevin Heeringa made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Niels Zwiers sent off a good shot on target. The Driesum fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Driesum's Bram Maes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Driesum succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Kapolder had controlled the match.
