Gregor Hilberts charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregor Hilberts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, FC Bloed Aan De Paal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Hilberts to maneuver through the defense. Vincent Huizen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cobus Uebels in the 7th minute of the match. With a little luck, Driesum's Kevin Heeringa got control of the ball when Gregor Hilberts tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Roeland Fellinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Roeland Fellinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Heeringa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Cobus Uebels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Huizen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cobus Uebels struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Vincent Huizen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Driesum. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bram Maes in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincent Huizen saved FC Bloed Aan De Paal from getting behind. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Bloed Aan De Paal's goalkeeper Vincent Huizen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Gregor Hilberts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kevin Heeringa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregor Hilberts in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, Driesum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bert Ierlandt to maneuver through the defense. Thijs Sanders charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thijs Sanders the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Driesum's Thijs Sanders got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Kevin Heeringa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daan Pinksteren. Gregor Hilberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Kevin Heeringa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

56 minutes into the match, FC Bloed Aan De Paal's Roeland Fellinger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Heeringa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olof Baker's late challenge caught a FC Bloed Aan De Paal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Baker helped the player get up and apologised. Kevin Heeringa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roeland Fellinger went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Driesum's zone, Gregor Hilberts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Heeringa came out of the goal and Gregor Hilberts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, FC Bloed Aan De Paal's goal looked a bit too open when Cobus Uebels came free, but Vincent Huizen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Heeringa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregor Hilberts in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Cobus Uebels fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cobus Uebels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vincent Huizen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Driesum's Thijs Sanders got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Thijs Sanders off the ground. Thijs Sanders hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, FC Bloed Aan De Paal's goalkeeper Vincent Huizen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bram Maes.
