Kevin Heeringa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roderick Ronde, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Wons's goalkeeper Jaap Jurjens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bram Maes. Driesum's Bram Maes got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dick Kramer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bram Maes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Bram Maes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaap Jurjens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cobus Uebels in the 22nd minute of the match. Bert Ierlandt hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Roderick Ronde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Wons's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bram Maes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cobus Uebels in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaap Jurjens saved Wons from getting behind. Driesum's Jan Rijkaard shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 39th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jaap Jurjens but with some difficulty. Jaap Jurjens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cobus Uebels, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Bram Maes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roderick Ronde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Heeringa having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cobus Uebels made a kick off. Roderick Ronde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dick Kramer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kevin Heeringa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Driesum booed when Wons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joris Kruiswijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cobus Uebels's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaap Jurjens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Wons's Dick Kramer got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iwan Hofland charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iwan Hofland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Wons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iwan Hofland to maneuver through the defense. Roderick Ronde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Heeringa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels Poels in the 85th minute of play forced Driesum's goalkeeper Kevin Heeringa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gert Stuijt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaap Jurjens. Wons's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thijs Sanders blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaap Jurjens having to make a save. Kevin Heeringa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roderick Ronde in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Driesum fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wons had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
