If Mathieu Kuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Weurd Excelsior's goalkeeper Gerrit Janssens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arjan van Baarle. In the 35th minute Mathieu Kuypers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerrit Janssens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Max Kosterman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert Ooijer having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Zwaluwen Vooruit's goal looked a bit too open when Roeland Even came free, but Bert Ooijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Weurd Excelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerrit Janssens should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Arjan van Baarle managed to get in a good position for a shot.
