In the 3rdth minute of the game Rolf Schenning who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maliskamp's Rinus Roorda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cor de Hondt in the 6th minute of play forced Rhenoij's goalkeeper Niels-Jan Boersma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th play minute Ben Mathijsen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Niels-Jan Boersma. 1-0. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maliskamp's goalkeeper Rinus Roorda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 14 minutes, Tonny Dilling mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rhenoij and the Maliskamp players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Ben Mathijsen came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Maliskamp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Mathijsen couldn't finish the play. Tim Schuurman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rhenoij booed when Maliskamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gido Höhenstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rinus Roorda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Schenning in the 21st minute of the match. In the 28th minute Cor de Hondt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niels-Jan Boersma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Rolf Schenning got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee ignored Maliskamp's protests and gave Gert Robbermond a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Maliskamp's Rinus Roorda got control of the ball when Tim Schuurman tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Maliskamp:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rhenoij:s goal. Izaak Koning walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Tim Schuurman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rinus Roorda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rinus Roorda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Schenning, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Tim Schuurman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rinus Roorda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Rolf Schenning took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rinus Roorda. Rinus Roorda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rinus Roorda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Schenning, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolf Schenning in the 101st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rinus Roorda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Rhenoij players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Maliskamp from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
