Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wilfred Kuis got the match started through his kick off. Ben Mathijsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Steven Groten made a huge save. In the 6th minute, Wilfred Kuis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th match minute, Maliskamp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boukjan Boswijk to maneuver through the defense. Cor de Hondt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steven Groten having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Vinkenbuurt's Sander Snoeks got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Vinkenbuurt's Steven Groten got control of the ball when Ben Mathijsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Sjors Hoeksma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilfred Kuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rinus Roorda having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Vinkenbuurt's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cor de Hondt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Vinkenbuurt's Wilfred Kuis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rinus Roorda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Sjors Hoeksma left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vinkenbuurt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Maliskamp players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vinkenbuurt were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cor de Hondt made a kick off. If Wilfred Kuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vinkenbuurt's Sjors Hoeksma got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Wilfred Kuis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 69th minute of the match, Wilfred Kuis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rinus Roorda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjors Hoeksma in the 80th minute of play forced Maliskamp's goalkeeper Rinus Roorda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinhard Bergen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rinus Roorda having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ben Mathijsen in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven Groten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Steven Groten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cor de Hondt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ben Mathijsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cor de Hondt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vinkenbuurt walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
