The Wassink fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wouter Vrede should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Ierlandt got free with Abraham Zuiverloon in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Wassink players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bruinehaar V.V. were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Nagel to make the kick off.
