Hans-Cees Assendelft struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Abraham Zuiverloon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brommelen. If Rick Enzing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brommelen's goalkeeper Martin Ros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Lamey might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Ros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Lamey ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 played minutes Brommelen got a freekick which was hit by Jef Roetering. If Tonny van Olst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, Brommelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Enzing to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 32 minutes, Tonny van Olst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruinehaar V.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tonny van Olst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tonny van Olsts short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Martin Ros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ruben Collen kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Tonny van Olst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rick Enzing to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruinehaar V.V.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rick Enzing 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. The supporters of Bruinehaar V.V. booed when Brommelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mart Brugmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Lamey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Ros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. If Marco Lamey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brommelen's Martin Ros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonny van Olst in the 71st minute of play. Martin Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonny van Olst in the 74th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Hans-Cees Assendelft cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Abraham Zuiverloon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Richard Reiling charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Reiling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Bruinehaar V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Richard Reiling. In the 89th minute, Marco Lamey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abraham Zuiverloon made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Hans-Cees Assendelft sent off a good shot on target. Hans-Cees Assendelft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Zuiverloon having to interfere. Brommelen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
