After 10 minutes of play, All Stars's Gert Jan Brürs made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abraham Zuiverloon was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonny van Olst in the 13th minute of play forced All Stars's goalkeeper Peter Hateboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bruinehaar V.V. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Marco Lamey hit a great ball. Erik Schreuder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abraham Zuiverloon having to make a save. Gert Jan Brürs scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abraham Zuiverloon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Corné Dekker fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored All Stars's protests and gave Corné Dekker a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bruinehaar V.V. booed when All Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corné Dekker didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Martijn Ricksen from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Peter Hateboer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 34th minute, Gert Jan Brürs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Hateboer came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Bruinehaar V.V.'s Marco Lamey. But to his dismay, Marco Lamey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tonny van Olst was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, one of All Stars:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for All Stars. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Bruinehaar V.V.. Martijn Ricksen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Peter Hateboer. 3-2. Wouter Maas kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Tonny van Olst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruinehaar V.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tonny van Olst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Tonny van Olst managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bruinehaar V.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tonny van Olst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Hateboer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tonny van Olst might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Hateboer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tonny van Olst ran back to his position shaking his head. Corné Dekker kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Erik Schreuder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. All Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bruinehaar V.V. the free kick. After 75 played minutes All Stars got a freekick which was hit by Erik Schreuder. Ruben Collen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Hateboer having to interfere. Marco Lamey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Peter Hateboer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Schreuder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Zuiverloon having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, All Stars's Iwan Boon got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Abraham Zuiverloon. If Derk Hebels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bruinehaar V.V. fans' excitement grew in the 99th match minute when Bruinehaar V.V.'s Marco Lamey looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
