Oudwoude Eendracht's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Hofman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Heiberg SC's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Hertog came free, but Koen Dekker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute Andreas Hofman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koen Dekker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Otto Hertog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddy Breinburg charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eddy Breinburg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eddy Breinburg kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Eddy Breinburg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. Andreas Hofman struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Koen Dekker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oudwoude Eendracht. If Ger Klijnstra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Hertog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Koen Dekker having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Andreas Hofman made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Oudwoude Eendracht got a freekick which was hit by Joris Pothuizen. When Heiberg SC's Douwe Schuiling in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Hertog couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Heiberg SC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Douwe Schuiling hit a great ball. Oudwoude Eendracht played a much better game than Heiberg SC and deserved their victory. The Heiberg SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
