Bertus Hoogsteen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aad Barels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes in the game, Luuk Wessels fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Demy Dost having to interfere. Luuk Wessels scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demy Dost, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alwin Sturm made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SCL89's Jacco de Visser. Luuk Wessels who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Demy Dost when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Demy Dost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Terpstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demy Dost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud Klooster in the 29th minute of the match. Luuk Wessels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demy Dost having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Adelaar in the 33rd minute of play forced Kettingwier's goalkeeper Bertus Hoogsteen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Wesley Terpstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demy Dost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Terpstra in the 38th minute of play forced SCL89's goalkeeper Demy Dost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute of the match, Luuk Wessels got a very nice opportunity to score, but Demy Dost was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 45 minutes into the game, Kettingwier's Luuk Wessels nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demy Dost made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Demy Dost made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Luuk Wessels sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wesley Terpstra was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Luuk Wessels cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Demy Dost was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wesley Terpstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Demy Dost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Henk Adelaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacco de Visser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, SCL89's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Terpstra came free, but Demy Dost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luuk Wessels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SCL89's Demy Dost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Terpstra in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Henk Adelaar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SCL89 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Wesley Terpstra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Demy Dost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play.
