Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jelmer Bok started the match with the kick off. In the 4th play minute Marcus Mos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Maurice Kiewit. 1-0. If Hendrik Oldenbeuving had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Julius Owusu Abeyie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Coos Staal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 17thth minute of the game Hendrik Oldenbeuving who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Houwerzijl's Coos Staal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurice Kiewit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Mol in the 22nd minute of play. Julius Owusu Abeyie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coos Staal having to interfere. Roger Deijnen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC bal op dak fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Maurice Kiewit, was totally fooled by Houwerzijl's Fred Mol, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Maurice Kiewit was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Wim Kroon. Hendrik Oldenbeuving fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coos Staal having to interfere. Fred Mol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Maurice Kiewit made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Hendrik Oldenbeuving made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Houwerzijl got a freekick which was hit by Fred Mol. FC bal op dak's Hendrik Oldenbeuving was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 57th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jelmer Bok took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurice Kiewit. Maurice Kiewit dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Marcus Mos charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Mos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC bal op dak booed when Houwerzijl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Mos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Julius Owusu Abeyie made a precise shot to the right of Coos Staal. Houwerzijl's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. 70 minutes into the match, Houwerzijl's goal looked a bit too open when Julius Owusu Abeyie came free, but Coos Staal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julius Owusu Abeyie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Houwerzijl's Felix Schie got a free kick in the 85th minute. Julius Owusu Abeyie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coos Staal having to interfere. FC bal op dak's Timmie Jonker got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Coos Staal made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Julius Owusu Abeyie sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jelmer Bok in the 98th minute of play forced FC bal op dak's goalkeeper Maurice Kiewit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC bal op dak's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
