Karel Ieberink's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepijn Graaf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Karel Ieberink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Driesprong's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karel Ieberink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jurgen Stam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwin Vaalman hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When Mathieu Zomer fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tull HC's protests and gave Mathieu Zomer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tull HC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mathieu Zomer hit a great ball. Jurgen Stam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepijn Graaf having to interfere. In the 20th minute Elroy Carel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wouter Staarman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pepijn Graaf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karel Ieberink's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Tull HC's goal looked a bit too open when Jurgen Stam came free, but Pepijn Graaf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karel Ieberink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Pepijn Graaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jurgen Stam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pepijn Graaf was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Jurgen Stam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Pepijn Graaf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Mark Cranenburgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elmar Opdam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pepijn Graaf. Tull HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elroy Carel to make the kick off. Jurgen Stam kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Elroy Carel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wouter Staarman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pieter Deijkers's late challenge caught a Driesprong's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pieter Deijkers helped the player get up and apologised. 73 minutes into the game, Jurgen Stam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Driesprong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tull HC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Driesprong's Jurgen Stam got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes in the game, Karel Ieberink fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pepijn Graaf having to interfere. Pepijn Graaf made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Rudi Kregel sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute of the match Taco Huizinga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pepijn Graaf skillfully saved the ball. Pepijn Graaf was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Jurgen Stam capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jurgen Stam really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2.
