Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SV Westenschouwen's Pierre Walregt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Otten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 played minutes SV Westenschouwen got a freekick which was hit by Elmar Jongsma. In the 10th minute, Rien Ros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gert Rodenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Capricorn's goalkeeper Marinus van Rhijn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Rodenberg. Chiel Meindert came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Capricorn's Rien Ros. But to his dismay, Rien Ros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, one of SV Westenschouwen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SV Westenschouwen. Lucas Otten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chiel Meindert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Elmar Jongsma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Westenschouwen and the Capricorn players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Capricorn booed when SV Westenschouwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmar Jongsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Capricorn getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Henk-Jan Seedorf hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Capricorn's goalkeeper Marinus van Rhijn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Rodenberg. After having played for 39 minutes, Elmar Jongsma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Westenschouwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elmar Jongsma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When SV Westenschouwen's Pierre Walregt in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Capricorn's goalie prevented a goal. The SV Westenschouwen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Capricorn were winning 0-1.

After 52 played minutes SV Westenschouwen got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Blanker. If Lucas Otten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chiel Meindert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rien Ros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rien Ros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Rodenberg struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Marinus van Rhijn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Westenschouwen. In the 78th minute, Roland Veldkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Otten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Chiel Meindert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Capricorn getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Henk-Jan Seedorf hit a great ball. In the 88th match minute, Capricorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Graaff to maneuver through the defense. Gert Rodenberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marinus van Rhijn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gert Rodenberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Arjan Adriaanse's late challenge caught a SV Westenschouwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arjan Adriaanse helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Capricorn got a freekick which was hit by Arjan Adriaanse. Gert Rodenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Capricorn's Henk-Jan Seedorf suffered a sore knee after 97 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Elmar Jongsma got his second yellow card in the match during the 97th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, SV Westenschouwen's Elmar Jongsma got a free kick in the 98th minute. Capricorn's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
