The audience was convinced that Theo Lyesen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arjan Lurling was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. When Theo Lyesen in the 40th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Arjan Lurling kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Theo Lyesen to strike the kick off in the second half. Ralph van Wonderen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arjan Lurling. Meddeho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gido Langenbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Arjan Lurling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meddeho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Theo Lyesen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zwartendijk Eendracht fans cheered their team off the field, for while Meddeho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
