The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Rein Boersma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Biezenkuilen's Jan Rein Boersma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sjef Neeskens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jurgen Ter's late challenge caught a Biezenkuilen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Gerrit van den Akker put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arne Abbekerk. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Baars got free with Sjef Neeskens in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 played minutes Biezenkuilen got a freekick which was hit by Dick van der Doelen. When Gerrit van den Akker came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Baium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerrit van den Akker couldn't finish the play. If Roeland Breinburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jan Rein Boersma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Biezenkuilen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Rein Boersma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sjef Neeskens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurice Fleur hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Hans Baars fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sjef Neeskens having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
