Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Itens FC's Martijn Bakker started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bjorn Appeldoorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn Bakker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Riemer Middeljans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bjorn Appeldoorn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Fernando Ihselmann took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Alberda. Fernando Alberda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 13 minutes of play, Englum's Fernando Ihselmann made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Alberda was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Martijn Bakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Martijn Bakker took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Bjorn Appeldoorn to make any attempt to save it. Martijn Bakker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bjorn Appeldoorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Alberda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan de Kort, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Englum's Fernando Ihselmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Alberda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 35 minutes into the match, Itens FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iwan de Kort came free, but Fernando Alberda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, one of Itens FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Englum a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Karsten Schattenberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Itens FC's Fernando Alberda. 2-4. Itens FC's Fernando Alberda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan de Kort in the 44th minute of play. Riemer Middeljans received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bjorn Appeldoorn came out and tried to block the shot, but Riemer Middeljans slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 46th minute. After the first half Englum were leading 3-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Riemer Middeljans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itens FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riemer Middeljans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 53 played minutes Englum got a freekick which was hit by Elco Oortwijn. Martijn Bakker might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bjorn Appeldoorn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martijn Bakker ran back to his position shaking his head. Martijn Bakker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bjorn Appeldoorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riemer Middeljans might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bjorn Appeldoorn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Riemer Middeljans ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Englum's Elco Oortwijn got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute Martijn Bakker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjorn Appeldoorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Riemer Middeljans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ate Gierman during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ate Gierman hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Iwan de Kort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Riemer Middeljans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bjorn Appeldoorn having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martijn Bakker in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bjorn Appeldoorn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Koen Wielaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Itens FC's Ivo Matthijs tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Chants of Englum echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Itens FC had held the ball for most of the match.
