Christijan Klinkhamer charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 10 minutes of play, Strijen S.C.'s Jens Post made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daan Beukers was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Paul Kaspers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daan Beukers was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Jeroen Bruintjes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Jeroen Bruintjes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wanroij Excelsior's Daan Beukers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ted de Putter hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeroen Bruintjes in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daan Beukers prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Mathieu de Haan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffrey Wander in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Govert Jurjens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Kaspers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Daan Beukers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
