Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vlerken HC's Ab Ottenhof started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Ab Ottenhof cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mathieu de Haan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeroen Bruintjess short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Arnold Woering to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jeroen Bruintjes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Woering having to interfere. Ronald Dijkman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Jeroen Bruintjes struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Arnold Woering didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strijen S.C.. After 20 played minutes Vlerken HC got a freekick which was hit by Ab Spannenburg. In the 22nd minute, Maurits Muskee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ab Spannenburg fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vlerken HC's protests and gave Ab Spannenburg a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Vlerken HC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Strijen S.C.:s goal. In the 27th minute, Strijen S.C.'s Paul Kaspers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Gijsbert Iepstra kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Strijen S.C.'s Dirk Sloothaak tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 37 minutes in the game, Jeroen Bruintjes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arnold Woering having to interfere. Jeroen Bruintjes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Kaspers made a kick off. Martin Zuidema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu de Haan having to interfere. Ab Ottenhof fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathieu de Haan having to interfere. Ab Ottenhof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mathieu de Haan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the game, Folkert Oost landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Hans Mueller kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Martin Zuidema blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathieu de Haan having to make a save. In the 78thth minute of the game Jeroen Bruintjes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vlerken HC's Arnold Woering was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ab Ottenhof hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to Strijen S.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Paul Kaspers hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paul Kaspers in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnold Woering saved Vlerken HC from getting behind. Arnold Woering didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeroen Bruintjes went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Vlerken HC's Arnold Woering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeroen Bruintjes in the 90th minute of play. Paul Kaspers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Woering having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
