Gert Iemberge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giel Swart, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Christiaan Ommen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gooitzen Willemsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Oosterwolde's goal looked a bit too open when Christiaan Ommen came free, but Gooitzen Willemsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Oosterwolde's Ramon Owusu Abeyie got a free kick in the 29th minute. A collision led to FC Bagatel getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Aad Degeling hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Giel Swart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oosterwolde's supporters rose to their feet, but Giel Swart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert Iemberge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timmie Trenning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Oosterwolde's Giel Swart slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gert Iemberge. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christiaan Ommen to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramon Owusu Abeyie might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gert Iemberge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Owusu Abeyie ran back to his position shaking his head. Timmie Trenning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gert Iemberge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Oosterwolde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmie Trenning to maneuver through the defense. If Timmie Trenning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oosterwolde's Giel Swart got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 minutes, Aad Degeling mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bagatel and the Oosterwolde players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Oosterwolde booed when FC Bagatel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aad Degeling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gooitzen Willemsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gert Oosterveld went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Gooitzen Willemsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christiaan Ommen's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Harald Ruben was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bagatel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oosterwolde the free kick. Harald Ruben kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giel Swart in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gert Iemberge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gert Oosterveld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giel Swart in the 96th minute of play forced FC Bagatel's goalkeeper Gert Iemberge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oosterwolde's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
