Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Klaus Brunt started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kees Baars during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Zoelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Baars to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Klaus Brunt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boudewijn Mos. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. A collision led to Zoelen getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Auke Jonker hit a great ball. Boudewijn Mos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus Brunt in the 25th minute of the match. If Mario Heinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filip Crans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kees Baars's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute Mario Heinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Crans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carel Strobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Driehoek booed when Zoelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Auke Jonker didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kees Baars stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Klaus Brunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boudewijn Mos having to interfere. Mario Heinen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Filip Crans skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 68 minutes of play Zoelen's Kees Baars was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Carel Strobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 73 minutes into the match, Carel Strobos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boudewijn Mos. Zoelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carel Strobos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 79th minute, Auke Jonker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Driehoek's Klaus Brunt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boudewijn Mos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 85 played minutes Zoelen got a freekick which was hit by Niels van Hintum. Filip Crans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Heinen in the 94th minute. If Carel Strobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zoelen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
