Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thijs Holsmuller couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Overmars during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kurt Kuypers struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Reinhard Evans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roekoe. 90 minutes into the match, Harenkarspel's goalkeeper Reinhard Evans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Landzaat. After 91 minutes, Kurt Kuypers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roekoe and the Harenkarspel players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Roekoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Kuypers to maneuver through the defense.
