Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dirk Wermans made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute, Guus Zeydeveld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Braakhuizen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guus Zeydeveld came free, but Wim Wolf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Wolf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guus Zeydeveld in the 13th minute of play. Wesley van Dalfsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wim Wolf having to interfere. Otto Hoiting hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Earth One's goalkeeper Frits Arends, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Earth One's Guus Zeydeveld sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wim Wolf narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wesley van Dalfsen got free with Wim Wolf in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Auke Brinke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Arends saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Earth One's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Wermans came free, but Frits Arends reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sipke Winter charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sipke Winter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Earth One got a freekick which was hit by Sipke Winter. In the 49th minute Dirk Wermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Arends saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Auke Brinke's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Frits Arends firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Frits Arends managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Braakhuizen FC's Auke Brinke fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Wim Wolf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guus Zeydeveld in the 63rd minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Earth One's goalkeeper Frits Arends had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Auke Brinke. In the 70th minute, Co Eggens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frits Arends showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Wermans in the 71st minute of the match. After 72 minutes of play Earth One's Sipke Winter was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Braakhuizen FC booed when Earth One was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sipke Winter didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 minutes, Henk Krol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Earth One and the Braakhuizen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Earth One got a freekick which was hit by Henk Krol. In the 77th minute, Humberto van Zeggeren sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Earth One's Frits Arends didn't even have to move. Auke Brinke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Auke Brinke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braakhuizen FC played a much better game than Earth One and deserved their victory. The Earth One players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
