An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Schimmel in the 31st minute of play forced Braakhuizen FC's goalkeeper Wim Wolf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dirk Wermans in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roelof Schoenmakers saved Nijmegen st.Hubert SC from getting behind. If Allard Everts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dirk Wermans couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dirk Wermans made a kick off. The attack was good, but when Dirk Wermans in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Hans Middeljans came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Nijmegen st.Hubert SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Middeljans couldn't finish the play. Remond Verhoeven hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Ryan Schimmel took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wim Wolf. Wim Wolf dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 85th minute Dirk Wermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roelof Schoenmakers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Auke Brinke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braakhuizen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Auke Brinke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dirk Wermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roelof Schoenmakers having to interfere. The supporters of Braakhuizen FC booed when Nijmegen st.Hubert SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitchell van den Akker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto van Zeggeren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roelof Schoenmakers. Nijmegen st.Hubert SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Braakhuizen FC had played much better football throughout.
