Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Loenen HC's Foeke van Zeijl started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Leendert Enting was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loenen HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knijpe the free kick. Leendert Enting hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Cor Harms was a little too slow when Foeke van Zeijl got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Philip van Dartel might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederik Aerts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip van Dartel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Philip van Dartel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cor Harms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Foeke van Zeijl in the 31st minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Philip van Dartel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Loenen HC's Frederik Aerts. Frederik Aerts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Humberto Tollenaar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Loenen HC's Frederik Aerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philip van Dartel in the 42nd minute of play. Cor Harms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Foeke van Zeijl, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 47 played minutes Knijpe got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Wit. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Tollenaar made a kick off. Cor Harms came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Loenen HC's Brain Coopman. But to his dismay, Brain Coopman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Tollenaar in the 59th minute of play forced Loenen HC's goalkeeper Frederik Aerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Loenen HC's Leendert Enting sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cor Harms narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Marick Warringa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foeke van Zeijl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cor Harms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Foeke van Zeijl in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Philip van Dartel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Frederik Aerts, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Philip van Dartel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knijpe's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip van Dartel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederik Aerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frederik Aerts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marick Warringa in the 85th minute. Philip van Dartel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes in the game, Humberto Tollenaar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Frederik Aerts having to interfere. Cor Harms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendrik-Jan Klerk in the 96th minute of the match. Loenen HC's Foeke van Zeijl got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Loenen HC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
