Straatvoetbal FC's Emiel Adelaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eelco Schaeffer in the 9th minute of play. Eelco Schaeffer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiel Adelaar having to interfere. Nieuwegen HC's Eelco Schaeffer got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nieuwegen HC booed when Straatvoetbal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olaf Sterenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Nieuwegen HC's Folkert de Gooijer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emiel Adelaar was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Steven Colen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Emiel Adelaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Nijemanting, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Straatvoetbal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nieuwegen HC were winning 0-1.

Ted Nijemanting could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Emiel Adelaar made a huge save. Mitchell Bakhuis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 93 minutes into the match, Straatvoetbal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eelco Schaeffer came free, but Emiel Adelaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Straatvoetbal FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
