Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jurre Alards kicked off to start the match. Sjors van Assen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geert Arend Dijkman having to interfere. Baarschot's Geert Arend Dijkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurre Alards in the 6th minute of play. After 7 played minutes Baarschot got a freekick which was hit by Ferry Meijeringh. After having played for 8 minutes, Sjors van Assen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Battenoord S.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sjors van Assen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Battenoord S.V.'s Jurre Alards in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurre Alards couldn't finish the play. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 34 minutes of play, Battenoord S.V.'s Jurre Alards made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geert Arend Dijkman was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Jurre Alards came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Battenoord S.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurre Alards couldn't finish the play. Jorn Hindriks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik Gronden having to interfere. After the first half Battenoord S.V. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorn Hindriks to strike the kick off in the second half. If Sjors van Assen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurre Alards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geert Arend Dijkman having to interfere. Battenoord S.V.'s Hendrik Gronden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mart Sans in the 58th minute of play. Jorn Hindriks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hendrik Gronden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Battenoord S.V.'s goalkeeper Hendrik Gronden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84thth minute of the game Jorn Hindriks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Battenoord S.V.'s Hendrik Gronden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mart Sans hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Battenoord S.V. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
