If Michael van der Sar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rik de Ridder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Everloo. A collision led to Everloo getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tonny Willems hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kristian Daalmeyer to strike the kick off in the second half. Kristian Daalmeyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Kiewiet having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jacobus Savenije's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Kiewiet was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 74 minutes in the game, Kristian Daalmeyer dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. In the 80th minute, one of Barrier fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barrier fc. In the 86th minute Hendrik-Jan Verhoeven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rik de Ridder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Everloo defense, Kristian Daalmeyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Kiewiet. The Everloo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Kiewiet should have stopped the shot. In the 97th match minute, Barrier fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roel Pluym to maneuver through the defense. In the 100th minute Hendrik-Jan Verhoeven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rik de Ridder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Everloo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Barrier fc.
