The referee ignored Heukelom Utd's protests and gave Lex Schildkamp a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Royal Gaari Team booed when Heukelom Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lex Schildkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Japke Reinders sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Heukelom Utd's Han Mussies didn't even have to move. Edwin Horring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gido Brinker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Royal Gaari Team getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Egbert Moermans hit a great ball. If Gido Brinker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthijs Aelbrecht struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Han Mussies didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal Gaari Team. A collision led to Heukelom Utd getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lex Schildkamp hit a great ball. Heukelom Utd's Han Mussies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maikel Scheffer in the 40th minute of play. When Matthijs Aelbrecht came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Royal Gaari Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthijs Aelbrecht couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Melvin Redan made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Royal Gaari Team got a freekick which was hit by Japke Reinders. The Royal Gaari Team fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Royal Gaari Team's Matthijs Aelbrecht looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matthijs Aelbrecht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Han Mussies having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Jens Bas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal Gaari Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Bas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melvin Redan struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Edwin Horring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heukelom Utd. In the 70th minute Melvin Redan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Horring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthijs Aelbrecht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Han Mussies having to interfere.
