Alwin Hoogsteen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthijs Aelbrecht in the 6th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hatsum FC defense, Jens Bas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alwin Hoogsteen. The Hatsum FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alwin Hoogsteen should have stopped the shot. Egbert Moermans charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egbert Moermans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Royal Gaari Team getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Egbert Moermans hit a great ball. Edwin Horring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Paul Friebel in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Matthijs Aelbrecht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alwin Hoogsteen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogier Akkerman hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Matthijs Aelbrecht sped through Hatsum FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alwin Hoogsteen. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Jens Bas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royal Gaari Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens Bas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alwin Hoogsteen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 32 minutes, Jean-Paul Friebel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hatsum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Paul Friebel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Richard Haas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Royal Gaari Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Jean-Paul Friebel scored to the left of an out of position Edwin Horring, making the score, 1-2. Edwin Horring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Paul Friebel, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Matthijs Aelbrecht cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Alwin Hoogsteen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Royal Gaari Team's Egbert Moermans got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Egbert Moermans off the ground. A collision led to Royal Gaari Team getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Egbert Moermans hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Jean-Paul Friebel made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Jean-Paul Friebel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Royal Gaari Team's Edwin Horring was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute Hatsum FC were awarded a corner. Kees Even went to the cornerflag to take it. Hatsum FC's Kees Even was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin Horring in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Andreas Kersten kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hatsum FC's Alwin Hoogsteen got control of the ball when Matthijs Aelbrecht tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matthijs Aelbrecht recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laurens Broekema charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurens Broekema the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hatsum FC's Laurens Broekema got a free kick in the 78th minute. Jean-Paul Friebel scored 2-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin Horring, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 86 minutes, Richard Haas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hatsum FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Haas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes Royal Gaari Team got a freekick which was hit by Sjoerd Ridder. Jean-Paul Friebel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Royal Gaari Team players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
