Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Antoon Hindriks took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Antoon Hindriks came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Mantgum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antoon Hindriks couldn't finish the play. Antoon Hindriks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Leendert Schimmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antoon Hindriks struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Leendert Schimmel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mantgum. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mantgum's goalkeeper Lucas Blank, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st match minute, Mantgum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brain van Asten to maneuver through the defense. Leendert Schimmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoon Hindriks in the 33rd minute of play. Leendert Schimmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoon Hindriks, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 42nd minute, Antoon Hindriks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Empe RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Antoon Hindriks came free, but Leendert Schimmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Drenth to make the kick off. Antoon Hindriks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Antoon Hindriks got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Empe RKSV's zone, Antoon Hindriks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leendert Schimmel came out of the goal and Antoon Hindriks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Geert Boeve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mantgum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geert Boeve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Blank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Kaspers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Antoon Hindriks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute, Peter Willemse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gijs Bosstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Leendert Schimmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Jorn Onrust hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoon Hindriks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Antoon Hindriks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mantgum were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
