Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rolf Berendt started the match with the kick off. Jacob de Bruin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Gido Kostermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob de Bruin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gido Kostermans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Basserveld HC's Rolf Berendt got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Berendt in the 22nd minute of play forced Noordbroek's goalkeeper Gido Kostermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlo Zoethout hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Jacob de Bruin struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Gido Kostermans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Basserveld HC. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Rolf Berendt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Basserveld HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Berendt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gido Kostermans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gido Kostermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob de Bruin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brain Vrede hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Basserveld HC's Stijn Huisman got control of the ball when Romeo Scaeru tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 37 minutes, Zymbyl Zyzykin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Noordbroek and the Basserveld HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Noordbroek got a freekick which was hit by Zymbyl Zyzykin. Gido Kostermans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolf Berendt's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Romeo Scaeru charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Scaeru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Romeo Scaeru kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Jacob de Bruin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44thth minute of the game Rolf Berendt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Noordbroek's Gido Kostermans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute, Marc Grasmaaijer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Brain Vrede made the kick off in the second half. Gido Kostermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Berendt, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rolf Berendt struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gido Kostermans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Basserveld HC. Jacob de Bruin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Brain Vrede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes of play, Noordbroek's Simon Dodorol made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stijn Huisman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gido Kostermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Berendt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Noordbroek's Romeo Scaeru got a free kick in the 97th minute. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by Noordbroek's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Otto de Graaf was slow to take the kick. During this time Basserveld HC's players had a chance to rest. Basserveld HC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
