Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Billy van der Werff started the match with the kick off. Billy van der Werff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dennis Soer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Driel's late challenge caught a Middele's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Driel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, DTC United's Marcus Driel got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Marcus Driel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes, Ronald Berg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Middele and the DTC United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Middele's Ronald Berg got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Andreas Schirring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freek Mulders was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Edward Roordink capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Roordink really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Middele's goal looked a bit too open when Billy van der Werff came free, but Dennis Soer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Roordink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domenik Wessels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freek Mulders having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Roordink to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Otto Hemmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes, Middele's Bart Kik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Freek Mulders came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Middele reached it. Andreas Schirring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in DTC United's zone, Edward Roordink stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freek Mulders came out of the goal and Edward Roordink tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freek Mulders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenik Wessels in the 67th minute of the match. Roeland Zwiers's late challenge caught a Middele's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roeland Zwiers helped the player get up and apologised. Roeland Zwiers kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. DTC United's Billy van der Werff got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dennis Soer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy van der Werff in the 79th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Middele got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Berg. Freek Mulders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenik Wessels in the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match Rik van der Sar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freek Mulders showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to DTC United getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Marcus Driel hit a great ball. DTC United's Freek Mulders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Roordink in the 90th minute of play. Billy van der Werff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Soer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Middele fans cheered their team off the field, for while DTC United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
