Schietecoven's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Coos Brandsma dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thijs Overdiep, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, aussies's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Lange came free, but Nico-Jan Zoethout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind aussies's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Zoethout, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nico-Jan Zoethout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henny Koeling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. aussies's Nico-Jan Zoethout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henny Koeling in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in aussies's zone, Billy Poelman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico-Jan Zoethout came out of the goal and Billy Poelman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henny Koeling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nico-Jan Zoethout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico-Jan Zoethout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Poelman, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Karsten Lange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Nico-Jan Zoethout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Poelman in the 56th minute of play forced aussies's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Zoethout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Henny Koeling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico-Jan Zoethout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico-Jan Zoethout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henny Koeling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Coos Brandsma came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the aussies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coos Brandsma couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind aussies's goalkeeper Nico-Jan Zoethout, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thijs Overdiep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arjan Planting, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Henny Koeling came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Schietecoven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henny Koeling couldn't finish the play. Nico-Jan Zoethout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henny Koeling in the 86th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Schietecoven players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for aussies.
