Gijs Blikman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to St. Stefanie getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Martijn Staal hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Jan-Willem de Witte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leerdam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Willem de Witte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. St. Stefanie's Martijn Staal got his second yellow card of the match in the 10th minute. The referee ordered Martijn Staal off the ground. Martijn Staal hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes in the game, Timo Meijer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Freek de Zeeuw having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Leerdam's Jan-Willem de Witte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Freek de Zeeuw. Freek de Zeeuw yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Jan-Willem de Witte took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Freek de Zeeuw to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 26 minutes, Gijs Blikman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Rudi van Dalen managed to get in a good position for a shot. St. Stefanie's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudi van Dalen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Hoogendorp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Timo Meijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freek de Zeeuw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. St. Stefanie's Freek de Zeeuw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Willem de Witte in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Gijs Blikman made a precise shot to the right of Freek de Zeeuw. St. Stefanie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jan-Willem de Witte to strike the kick off in the second half. Gijs Blikman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Timo Meijer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Freek de Zeeuw was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the match, St. Stefanie's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Willem de Witte came free, but Freek de Zeeuw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Leerdam's Gijs Blikman made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freek de Zeeuw was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijs Blikman in the 71st minute of play forced St. Stefanie's goalkeeper Freek de Zeeuw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Gijs Blikman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freek de Zeeuw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes St. Stefanie got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Speelman. Jan-Willem de Witte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, St. Stefanie's Giovanni Baars got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the St. Stefanie defense, Jan-Willem de Witte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freek de Zeeuw. The St. Stefanie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freek de Zeeuw should have stopped the shot. Freek de Zeeuw didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijs Blikman went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Leerdam's Gijs Blikman got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lex Sterenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Freek de Zeeuw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
