Adriaan Nagel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 17 minutes into the match, Nijnsel HC's goal looked a bit too open when Joeri Stuijvenberg came free, but Adriaan Nagel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nijnsel HC's Adriaan Nagel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joeri Stuijvenberg in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rik Bruintjes during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SOAD FC booed when Nijnsel HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rik Bruintjes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joeri Stuijvenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Adriaan Nagel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SOAD FC booed when Nijnsel HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Scheer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute Melvin Lemmen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriaan Nagel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Veen made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Fernando Pronk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nijnsel HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Pronk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Fernando Pronk came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Nijnsel HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Pronk couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Nick Medgyesi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melvin Lemmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriaan Nagel having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Laurens Wieringh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 minutes SOAD FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Scheer who took care of the corner kick. 72 minutes into the match, SOAD FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Pronk came free, but Niels Roelofs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nijnsel HC's goalkeeper Adriaan Nagel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adriaan Nagel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melvin Lemmen in the 82nd minute of the match. When Nijnsel HC's Edgar Veen in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
