Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Denny Rodenberg started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Steil's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Rodenberg came free, but Klaas Jan Ruiter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steil's Niels Dalman got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. René van den Eede charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed René van den Eede the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Steil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by René van den Eede to maneuver through the defense. Denny Rodenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marc Oosterveld might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivo Hebels. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc Oosterveld ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivo Hebels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Akkerman in the 27th minute of the match. Marc Oosterveld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Respelhoek getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ronald Stühling hit a great ball. Niels Dalman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Hebels having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Rogier Derks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Respelhoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steil the free kick. In the 36th minute, one of Respelhoek:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Respelhoek. Adriaan Kloppenburg shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Ivo Hebels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niels Dalman, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Marc Oosterveld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Hebels having to interfere. Henk de Cock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Respelhoek's Henk de Cock nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Klaas Jan Ruiter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marc Oosterveld was the one to do the kick off. Marc Oosterveld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivo Hebels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Oosterveld in the 56th minute of the match. Bertus Rueda kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Marc Oosterveld might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivo Hebels. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc Oosterveld ran back to his position shaking his head. René van den Eede kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Respelhoek booed when Steil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Akkerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denny Rodenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Marc Oosterveld who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Respelhoek's Ivo Hebels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ivo Hebels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Oosterveld in the 75th minute of play. Henk de Cock might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klaas Jan Ruiter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henk de Cock ran back to his position shaking his head. Denny Rodenberg struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Klaas Jan Ruiter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Respelhoek. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marc Oosterveld in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Hebels saved Respelhoek from getting behind. Niels Dalman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ivo Hebels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Respelhoek's Ivo Hebels got control of the ball when Niels Dalman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Respelhoek's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Oosterveld came free, but Ivo Hebels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes of play Steil's René van den Eede was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 96 played minutes Steil got a freekick which was hit by René van den Eede. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Respelhoek had won after a very even match.
