Bernard Veenker's late challenge caught a Notenboom FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Notenboom FC's Eelco Winters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Andriessen in the 8th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Marcel Andriessen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Notenboom FC's Eelco Winters. Eelco Winters was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Notenboom FC's Jurre Nijhof got a free kick in the 13th minute. Bernard Veenker hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Marnix Ritsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bennie Griemink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Notenboom FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Andriessen came free, but Eelco Winters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jurre Nijhof was shown his second yellow card after 20 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 20th match minute, Notenboom FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurre Nijhof to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes in the game, Marnix Ritsma fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bennie Griemink having to interfere. Tom Zeeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ajax.FC's Mickael Tonnis got a free kick in the 28th minute. Marnix Ritsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Andriessen in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eelco Winters prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Marnix Ritsma made the kick off in the second half. Marnix Ritsma might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bennie Griemink. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marnix Ritsma ran back to his position shaking his head. Marnix Ritsma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bennie Griemink having to interfere. Mark Molnar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eelco Winters came out of the goal and Marcel Andriessen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emil Breinburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Gilbert Evers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Notenboom FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajax.FC the free kick.
