Gerrie de Lange could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Joris Evenhuis made a huge save. After 8 minutes, Klaas Jan Telkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limburgse Jagers and the Vlodrop HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Limburgse Jagers defense, Gerrie de Lange kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joris Evenhuis. The Limburgse Jagers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joris Evenhuis should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Rinus Theunissen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes, Limburgse Jagers's Jelmer Kuijsten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aad Rodenberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Limburgse Jagers reached it. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Gerrie de Lange got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gerrie de Lange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Limburgse Jagers's Joris Evenhuis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Limburgse Jagers from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerrie de Lange was the one to do the kick off. Frits Hollander kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Aad Rodenberg was a little too slow when Joop Breugel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 61st minute, Joop Breugel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerrie de Lange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Joris Evenhuis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Joop Breugel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aad Rodenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Limburgse Jagers's goal looked a bit too open when Gerrie de Lange came free, but Joris Evenhuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rinus Theunissen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerrie de Lange struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Joris Evenhuis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlodrop HC. When Gerrie de Lange came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Vlodrop HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerrie de Lange couldn't finish the play. After having played for 89 minutes, Rinus Theunissen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vlodrop HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rinus Theunissen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joris Evenhuis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerrie de Lange in the 92nd minute of the match. Gerrie de Lange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joris Evenhuis having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vlodrop HC had played much better football throughout.
