But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kostadin Davidov couldn't finish the play. Malibu SE's Jurgen Blaauwgeers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stef Wander in the 17th minute of play. Bunschoten's Aad Middeljans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelle Panter in the 24th minute of play. Kostadin Davidov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kostadin Davidov charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kostadin Davidov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kostadin Davidov hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, one of Malibu SE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Malibu SE. Samuel Luoma kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Meindert Zuidema could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Jurgen Blaauwgeers made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stef Wander was the one to do the kick off. Jelle Panter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aad Middeljans having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Meindert Zuidema's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jurgen Blaauwgeers was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Jurgen Blaauwgeers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stef Wander in the 60th minute of the match. If Meindert Zuidema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurgen Blaauwgeers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stef Wander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Meindert Zuidema shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Blaauwgeers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Meindert Zuidema struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Jurgen Blaauwgeers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bunschoten.
