The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Ryan Roelofs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Troepmannen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryan Roelofs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiaan Roelfs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Troepmannen's Fabian Ponk got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes in the game, Luc Pinksteren fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Christiaan Roelfs having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Troepmannen's Fabian Ponk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christiaan Roelfs. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. A collision led to U21 Future Stars getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Pierre Hilberts hit a great ball. Luc Pinksteren was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Christiaan Roelfs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Roelofs in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Luc Pinksteren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christiaan Roelfs. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 30th minute Jeffrey Bartele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Heijer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Remond Dagelet managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Future Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Remond Dagelet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Heijer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, U21 Future Stars's goalkeeper Christiaan Roelfs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Ponk. Jeffrey Bartele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Heijer having to interfere. Fabian Ponk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luc Pinksteren was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Troepmannen's goalkeeper Rafael Heijer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Troepmannen's Kristian Ebbinge got a free kick in the 54th minute. Troepmannen's Fabian Ponk got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeffrey Bartele hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Luc Pinksteren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Christiaan Roelfs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luc Pinksteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Luc Pinksteren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Troepmannen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luc Pinksteren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Remond Dagelet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82ndth minute of the game Fabian Ponk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Future Stars's Christiaan Roelfs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernando van Zijp kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Troepmannen fully deserved thier win.
