Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Demy Andriessen started the match with the kick off. Rick Gentenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Zuidam in the 3rd minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 7th minute when Anton Erenstein elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Anton Erenstein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Erenstein got free with Rick Gentenaar in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th match minute, Lollum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demy Andriessen to maneuver through the defense. Dirk Stühling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rick Gentenaar. Lollum's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lollum's zone, Oliver Zuidam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rick Gentenaar came out of the goal and Oliver Zuidam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rein Damen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lollum fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Rick Gentenaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from René Tijink in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oliver Zuidam to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Oliver Zuidam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geesbrug HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Lollum's Rick Gentenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Zuidam in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Anton Erenstein had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rick Gentenaar. Lollum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Erenstein was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 59 played minutes Lollum got a freekick which was hit by Demy Andriessen. Oliver Zuidam struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Rick Gentenaar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geesbrug HC. Rick Gentenaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Erenstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Geesbrug HC's Oliver Zuidam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rick Gentenaar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Demy Andriessen kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Rick Gentenaar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Zuidam went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Lollum's Ernst Numan got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Oliver Zuidam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geesbrug HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. If Gert Mathijsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Mathijsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dick de Wolf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lollum fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Lollum's Rick Gentenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Zuidam in the 98th minute of play. Lollum's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
