Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Martin Roorda made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Ayax getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ryan Bijl hit a great ball. In the 3rd minute, Co Schattenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Brain Rijkaard fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lombok HC's protests and gave Brain Rijkaard a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lombok HC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Brain Rijkaard hit a great ball. Jan-Joost Sybering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Roorda in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Klaas Vennegoor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaas Vennegoor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Klaas Vennegoor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brain Rijkaard hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Klaas Vennegoor in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jan-Joost Sybering, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 36th minute, Martin Roorda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jan-Joost Sybering, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaas Vennegoor got free with Jan-Joost Sybering in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jasper Ginneken came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Lombok HC's Brain Rijkaard. But to his dismay, Brain Rijkaard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lombok HC's Jan-Joost Sybering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaas Vennegoor in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Ayax's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus van Gastel came free, but Jasper Ginneken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Roorda took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Joost Sybering. Jan-Joost Sybering dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 70 minutes into the match, Co Schattenberg notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ayax's Jasper Ginneken. Jasper Ginneken was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd match minute, Ayax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordi Schrage to maneuver through the defense. Brain Rijkaard got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Brain Rijkaard hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaas Vennegoor in the 81st minute of play forced Lombok HC's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Sybering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 minutes of play, Lombok HC's Co Schattenberg made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jasper Ginneken was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Co Schattenberg got free with Jasper Ginneken in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Martin Roorda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lombok HC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
