Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Fabian Pluym recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jelte Bömker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Berend van Veldhuizen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Foeke Popping made a precise shot to the right of Berend van Veldhuizen. Ginderover HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute Werner Dongen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marnix Tonnis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Pluym fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marnix Tonnis having to interfere. Fabian Pluym came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marnix Tonnis could save by the left post. Fabian Pluym fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marnix Tonnis having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Werner Dongen in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marnix Tonnis saved Doornakkers from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Foeke Popping got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Foeke Popping struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Berend van Veldhuizen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doornakkers. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Foeke Popping to make the kick off. A collision led to Doornakkers getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Billy Tollenaar hit a great ball. After 54 played minutes, Ginderover HC's Raymond Homan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marnix Tonnis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ginderover HC reached it. Marnix Tonnis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Pluym in the 58th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Foeke Popping kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Berend van Veldhuizen. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Jelte Bömker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berend van Veldhuizen having to interfere. When Foeke Popping came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Doornakkers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Foeke Popping couldn't finish the play. Raymond Homan charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymond Homan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Foeke Popping received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. The Doornakkers supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Doornakkers would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
