The supporters of Vlotbrug Excelsior booed when Black Ice Blazers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niels-Jan Arts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Govert Onrust didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferry Niekamp to strike the kick off in the second half. Willem Dirks charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willem Dirks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vlotbrug Excelsior booed when Black Ice Blazers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willem Dirks didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Vlotbrug Excelsior's goalkeeper Robert Hauvers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billy Israel. Vlotbrug Excelsior's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arno Hemmen 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arno Hemmen in the 62nd minute of play forced Vlotbrug Excelsior's goalkeeper Robert Hauvers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Hauvers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Billy Israel in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the game, Theo Oorthuis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vlotbrug Excelsior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Ice Blazers the free kick. Robert Hauvers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Hemmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Billy Israel came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Black Ice Blazers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Israel couldn't finish the play. Arno Hemmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Robert Hauvers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
