After a defensive mix-up in Fijnaart S.C.'s zone, Roderick Kolkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Janssen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egbert Geurtsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Lukas Janssen took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Michel van Zijderveld to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Fijnaart S.C. booed when curacau nigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Bender didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fijnaart S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Egbert Geurtsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theo Janssen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jurre Grijpstra kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Jurre Grijpstra came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Fijnaart S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jurre Grijpstra couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egbert Geurtsen to make the kick off. In the 53rd play minute Jurre Grijpstra came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Theo Janssen. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Fijnaart S.C.'s Henk-Jan Schophuis got a free kick in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, curacau nigers's goalkeeper Theo Janssen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jurre Grijpstra. Egbert Geurtsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michel van Zijderveld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Janssen, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Jurre Grijpstra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Egbert Geurtsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Janssen having to interfere. Theo Janssen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egbert Geurtsen in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Egbert Geurtsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Janssen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Egbert Geurtsen had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melvin Hilbrands during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Melvin Hilbrands hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute, Steven Bender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theo Janssen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 100th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gerald Zonneveld. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
